The Canon MS300 and MS350 microfilm scanner / printers are the new replacements for the excellent Canon MS400 and MS500, which have now been discontinued. Exactly the same size as the MS400/500, the MS300/350 are more economical to purchase and have extra features such as 256 grey scale and "CapturePerfect" software included in the price. The new MS300/350 are also faster and higher quality scanning units.

The MS300/350 are excellent mid volume desktop microfilm scanners. Due to the their range of carriers the MS300/350 can be used to scan 16mm cartridge film, 16mm C-Clip film, 16 and 35mm Open Spool film and fiche/jackets/aperture cards and 16mm blip film.

There is a choice of printers, either the FP250 A4 8ppm printer or the FP450 A4/A3 10ppm printer.

Scanning quality is upto 600 x 600dpi and scanning speed is 5.5 seconds for 200dpi, 7.5 seconds for 300dpi, 10 seconds for 400 dpi and 16 seconds for 600dpi.

The inclusive "CapturePerfect" software allows you to batch scan to mail, save to PDF, skew correct and border removal.

The difference between the two units is that the MS300 has manual focus and zoom rotation whereas the MS350 has these functions motorised. Also the MS350 has an extra key pad for easy operation.
